Sector Connector Coordinator

Are you someone who loves working with people and wants to make a positive impact on voluntary and community organisations in North Tyneside?

Are you good at creating connections between people and organisations to share skills and ideas?

We are on the lookout for a new Sector Connector Project Coordinator to forge links between voluntary organisations and local businesses.

You don’t necessarily need experience in the voluntary and community sector but having an understanding of working with the business sector and being able to network effectively is essential. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert – we offer training and mentoring for the right candidate

As our Sector Connector Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing productive relationships with community-minded local businesses and enabling them to use their business skills to support local voluntary and community groups.  Sector Connector supports voluntary groups who need support from businesses in all sorts of skills, including HR, Legal, Digital, Wellbeing, Health and Safety, Marketing and Branding.

The Role Involves

  • Building relationships with local voluntary and community organisations to identify the areas where they could benefit from business skills and support.
  • Establishing excellent working relationships with businesses of all sizes to develop their understanding of how they can best support voluntary organisations and identifying exciting opportunities for them to share their skills and services, including staff volunteering and delivering training.
  • Brokering links between voluntary organisations and businesses, empowering them to foster long-term relationships and suggesting opportunities for cross-sectoral work
  • Developing a programme of training workshops to be delivered by local businesses for voluntary and community organisations
  • Undertaking Gap Analysis to help identify gaps in support for the voluntary sector and creating strategies to address them.

Salary and Hours

Starting at £26,213 per annum pro rata for between 15 – 22.5 hours per week (FTE 0.6)

We, at North Tyneside VODA, are dedicated to providing support, advice, training, and information to volunteers and voluntary organisations in North Tyneside. Our mission is to strengthen and develop the voluntary and community sector by offering a wide range of support services. We also represent the sector’s views to government and policymakers at both local and national levels.

The post is based within VODA’s Core Services Team, which focuses on assisting charities, community organisations, and social enterprises in supporting their local communities. Whether it’s helping set up a new organisation or providing guidance on governance and policy development, we’re here for it. Trustee Vacancies at VODA

Are you passionate about supporting the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in North Tyneside? North Tyneside VODA is looking for three new collaborative Trustees to join our exceptional organisation.
