The Bay Foodbank

North Tyneside Art Studio

The North Tyneside Art Studio is seeking a new Treasurer to join their board. They are particularly keen to hear from people with prior experience of being a charity Trustee and experience in any of the following areas: Finance, HR, Business Planning and Commerce, Building Management, Communications & Marketing, Hospitality and
IT.

Square Building Trust

The Trust seeks a new Treasurer to be a key member of its executive team and the trust committee. The treasurer will be responsible for:

  • overseeing the Trust’s financial position and making decisions in conjunction with the other members of the Executive Team.
  • Contributing to discussions at the quarterly meetings and to provide an annual report to the AGM (normally in June).

The post holder would be required to have had financial experience at a senior level – preferably in a managerial post. Although in-depth knowledge of the social housing sector is not essential it would be helpful to have some knowledge.

Recyke Y’Bike Ltd NT

The charity seeks two new Trustees to join their board.

  1. As Treasurer, you would be the financial steward of the charity, ensuring that resources are managed efficiently and transparently. Your expertise in finance, budgeting, and financial planning would be crucial in maintaining the sustainability of operations and supporting the growth of the charity’s  initiatives. They are looking for someone with a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a similar role.
  2. As a Trustee you’d play a key role in setting the direction and overseeing their work, contributing to Board meetings on a diverse range of topics.

Justice Prince

Justice Prince is looking to recruit an additional three members of the board which meets a minimum of four times per year. They are aiming to recruit Trustee’s with particular “specialisms” whether that be IT, finance, HR, strategic management/growth, equalities or marketing, to give a few examples. Most importantly, they are looking for people who want to make a difference to the lives of people suffering greatest hardship, disadvantage and marginalisation.

St Pauls Community Partnership

St Pauls Community Partnership is a small but well organised charity aiming to meet the needs of their local community in as many ways as possible – at present that includes ways to help with hardship. Cullercoats Watchhouse: Chair

The existing trustees have already embarked upon an ambitious plan for the restoration of the building into the inspiring community venue. They now need a new Chair of Trustees who can provide leadership and strategic direction.

Walking With In North Tyneside

Walking With is looking for a trustee to join their fantastic team and to take a lead on accounting. Key roles will be to give oversight to, and advice about, finances and to ensure that end-of-year accounts are prepared and inspected. The are also looking for trustees to help us to develop our services further through their lived experience of the asylum system.

Stroke North

Stroke North is urgently seeking to recruit a treasurer / trustee to join its Management Committee. The role includes:

  • Managing the accounts, recording income and expenditure
  • Income comes from members subscriptions and taxi fees
  • Grants, donations and fundraising activities
  • Expenditure is primarily the subsidised taxi account, outing costs and room rental and insurance.

Coping with Cancer North East

Coping with Cancer needs a qualified accountant who has 5 – 6 hrs per month to work them as a volunteer in the role of Treasurer.

Independent Advocacy North East

IANE values diversity and welcomes any members of the public who are interested in furthering the aims of IANE, to join their board. It is important that a Trustee is able to devote the necessary time, have strategic vision, an understanding of advocacy, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak their mind. Board meetings are held early evening, usually every two months at the IANE offices, at the Linskill Centre.

The charity requires a new Treasurer to be responsible for overseeing the Charity’s financial position and making decisions in conjunction with other members of the Board.

What skills do I need?

  • Ability to analyse and monitor complex financial data
  • Ability to explain an organisation’s financial position in plain English
  • Some financial knowledge/experience at a senior level would be an advantage

Stomping Grounds Forest School CIC delivers Forest School to communities across the North East and uses its profits to ensure historically excluded groups can benefit from the impact of connection with nature. They are looking for non-Executive Directors with the following skills.

  1. Treasurer with Bookkeeping Experience
  2. Director with lived experience of being a minoritised group
  3. Director with experience of working in education and or Early Years
